Date: Thu, 15 Apr 1999 15:49:08 -0700 Hey there...greetings from Industrial Music Land. :) I have some info I thought u might like. I don't know if u already know this, but Cleopatra records is releasing a U2 tribute CD, and my favorite band, Frontline Assembly is going to be making a cover of New Year's Day with, u guessed it, Tiffany singing vocals. I have a sound clip of it if u want me to send it over. Just thought I'd relay the info. Everyone seems shocked to see that Tiffany and electro-industrial band Front Line Assembly would be collaborating, but apparantly it's true. - David Stallard Hey U2 fans, Cleopatra Records is proud to announce the release of "We Will Follow," a tribute to U2. The tribute album features prominent synthpiop/gothic/industrial bands performing songs originally recorded by U2. This album features an unusual collaboration between Frontline Assembly and Tiffany (former teen star, "I Think We're Alone Now")! You can download 30-second soundclips of several tracks from our website MP3 page at: http://www.cleorecs.com The following is the tracklisting for this release. Not only is "I Saw Him Standing There" a single with the b-side "Mr. Mambo" (Catalog #'s MCA-53285 and MCA-53286 [cassette only]), but apparantly "Mr. Mambo" was released as a 7" single with the b-side "I Saw Him Standing There" (Catalog # MCA-53280). You can actually purchase it at www.gemm.com or at www.recordfinders.com I have no idea what the deal is with that. Also "I Always Thought I'd See You Again" was released on compact disc in the U.S. The single "Pleasure Of Love" listed at GEMM is not the same Tiffany and I'm pretty sure "In The Dark" isn't either. I wanted to let you know that I paid $20 for a CD to get one song--"You Don't Belong Down Here." I did it only because I think Tiffany is such an incredible singer, AND because of your high rating of the song. Your rating of her songs is different from mine but really amazingly close. Anway, I liked that song from the start but really love it now. So, I paid $25 for All the Best just to get Winding Road, encouraged by your no. 9 rating. Just wanted to let you know I really like that song too. Even the duet on that album is OK. My 5 favorite Tiffany songs are 1) I Always Thought I'd See You Again 2) Kiss the Ground 3)If Love is Blind 4) You Don't Belong Down Here (!) 5) I Think We're Alone Now. Kind of amazing that 3 of my top 5 are in your top 8. I also really like your no. 1 , 6 and 10 songs. I also agreed with your comment about Spanish Eyes. I hated it at first but grew to like it and now would actually rate it higher than you do. Thanks again for your site, and for your ratings, which helped me find 2, or even 3 counting the duet, really good new (to me) Tiffany songs. I would hate to have paid $20 plus for one song and have it not be good. As it is, both were well worth the money. Date: Sun, 07 Mar 1999 22:17:40 -0800 From: "Julian D.
