Tiffany Music:

Rick Rhodes Interview

This interview was conducted via e-mail by Myra Wong (mkwong@egbt.org) on Monday, July 14, 1997.

MW: I'm a big fan of Tiffany and I understand you do a duet with her on your CD.

RR: YES. IT'S A SONG CALLED "HOLD ME" THAT I WROTE WITH PATTI AUSTIN.

MW: Can you tell me more about this song? How did this duet come about?

RR: I HAVE A FRIEND WHO KNOWS HER AND SHE INTRODUCED HER TO ME.

MW: When was it recorded?

RR: WE RECORDED IT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO.

MW: Was Tiffany on her own by then (what manager was she with)?

RR: SHE'S WITH BOB DIAMOND MGMT.

MW: What was it like working with her?

RR: SHE WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. VERY SWEET. SHE HAS A BABY AND A NICE HUSBAND. THEY MOVED TO NASHVILLE LAST YEAR.

MW: If you have the chance, I'd be thrilled if you could answer my questions for a mini-interview :)

RR: ANYTIME YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO WRITE TO ME!

MW: I'm going to post this information to the Tiffany mailing list for other fans to order too, so don't be surprised if you get a bunch of orders soon :)

RR: GREAT NEWS! THANKS FOR DOING THIS.

So, hey, Rick sounds really nice. Can't wait to hear the song. I guess if you guys have other questions, you can email him. He sounds like an ultra-talented man having done so many projects. On the ASCAP site, he had a lot of "cues" listed, which I am guessing is background music or something for TV shows (some soap operas were listed).
