She was a great performer and it was very disappointing to see her fade like NKOTB and Tommy Page. It's nice to know that there are people out there that still appreciate good music and still look forward to maybe seeing a comeback of that time. Talented performers like Tiffany are hard to come by. Hopefully one day we will all have the pleasure of experiencing that again. Best Wishes to Tiffany and those who created this website. She was getting her second tattoo by an artist named "TJ" and it was a stained glass looking cross on her ankle. I talked with her for awhile, and she told me a bit about suppporting her family as a child with her music career. Also, about her past battle with drug addiction, her "wonderful" seven year old son, and happy marriage. She also is now a "born again christian". She told me about a new album she is working on that is "kind of alternative, and not as poppy as the old stuff". She seemed very happy, and it was very nice talking to her. She was really friendly, and very approachable. Breitfelder" <clopin@prosystema.de> Organization: Just Movies - Das deutsche Online-Kino-Magazin To: webmaster@tiffany.org Subject: Is this a sad story? Hi Daniel! My name is Markus and I'm living in Germany, in a little village not far from Frankfurt/Main. From time to time I come back to visit your site, and at the same time these are always happy and sad moments... Reading through all the info you put together, watching the pictures, taking a look at Tiff's bio and what happened to her during the last years it's giving me lots of sentimental feelings. I remember some of the happiest days in my life back in 1988 when also Germany - that far apart from the States - discovered this beautiful and talented singer. It's nice to remember these days, the music and what I felt and thought a couple of years ago. On the other hand it's such a sad story of talent and charisma that was abused by the music industry. Such a sad story that made Tiffany another star that rose fast and, well, fell so deeply. What have they done to her? And how does she earn her living today with no new records on the market? Once again I went through everything you wrote down. You do report she released several songs in Asia, but nothing in the States or Europe. What do you think as an expert? After all these years - will she ever come back? Will we ever have the chance to step back to these happy days - just for a moment? I must confess I don't think too often about her, but always when I enter your site this whole bunch of sentimental feelings is overwhelming me and for a second I have this surreal impression of moving back in time, ten years back from now. When I leave your site it's over and what's left behind is that sad feeling... Like I'm missing something which I once had a long time ago. I can't explain it another way. But when I take a look at what happened to this girl, well, sometimes I get the impression that somebody has stolen one of my childhood's dreams... Hope I wasn't too boring for you - but somehow I had the feeling you could understand... They say: "We're not done yet! VH1 wants to know about your favorite types of music. It's the biggest poll yet taken about music on the Internet, and the results will be posted during the 100 Greatest Songs broadcast. Make sure your voice is heard by voting below. And don't forget to tell us why your choice is the right one. Your words might end up on TV!" They have a section for the greatest love song, greatest song from a movie, greatest teen idol song :-), greatest cover song... So we can choose for Tiffany in some sections with different songs. greatest love song (no question about this one): If love is blind greatest cover song: New year's day greatest song from a movie: Home greatest teen idol song: I think we're alone now Do I have to say more???????????? We don't have to vote all together this way :-), but we should all vote for the same songs in the different sections. The above is only my suggestion. If nobody says stop, I will post about the vote on Erik's and my website this weekend (and I hope the other webmasters will do the same). This is also an invitation to the other Tiffany webmasters to join this mailing list. This mail is also send as a copy to them. This is a chance to let VH1 know that there are still a lot of Tiffany fans! About the problem with the video for "If love is blind", if everybody of Tiffany's fans is able to get it somewhere on earth, this should be no problem for a music channel. The radio never plays any of her music. She was the bomb when I was little. My best friend and I wore out the tape we had of her. We would make up dances to our favorite songs. This was in the first grade. We thought we were the bomb. To this day I wish more people could have appreciated her music as much as we did. We use to stay up all night, until our parents came and took the tape out of the radio; trying to make "our dance" a little better. You still have fans out here girl! Although it was done three years ago, Mary Alice Williams (of CNN) did a terrific job of bringing out and nuturing the "human" side of our favorite singing redhead. Tiff seemed very calm and relaxed throughout this half-hour session, talking in very candid terms about some of the hurdles and pressures that she went through in her career. One of the things that may surprise some fans is her admission to doing some "experimenting"...when Mary Alice pursued the point, Tiffany responded by mentioning alcohol and drugs; though she didn't specify. Overall, I think this was one of the better interviews that Tiff has ever done. Hopefully, they will be able to put this on video for us fans to order from. I have already e- mailed them my props for the show through their Odyssey Club, since I'm not sure of their having an actual e-mail address. But I sincerely urge those who have already seen "Quiet Triumphs" to (somehow) e-mail Odyssey Channel your props to them for the Tiffany interview. You can also e-mail to me your take on the show or anything else on the Tiffer to otter747@yahoo.com .
